Dr. Christopher C. Gillis Inducted into the Global Directory of Who's Who

Eatontown, NJ – The Global Directory of Who's Who is pleased to announce the inclusion of Dr. Christopher C. Gillis, MD, FRCSC, FAANS, a distinguished neurosurgeon known for his expertise in complex spine disorders and minimally invasive spine surgeries.

Dr. Gillis's academic journey began at Dalhousie University, where he graduated with distinction in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the Schulich School of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in 2008. Dr. Gillis then completed a rigorous neurosurgery residency at the University of British Columbia and pursued advanced training in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery through a clinical fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Gillis has held notable positions in his field, including serving as the Spine Program’s Medical Director and Assistant Professor in the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and currently is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at New York University. In these roles, he has performed cutting-edge, motion-sparing spine treatments and has specialized in addressing spine deformities through minimalist approaches. He is also dedicated to educating fellow surgeons in these advanced techniques.

A fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) and its Spine and Peripheral nerve subsection, Dr. Gillis is recognized for his contributions to the field. His clinical and research interests are centered on developing and advancing new techniques in minimally invasive spine surgeries, deformity corrections, spine robotics, and advanced spine navigation.

Dr. Gillis is passionate about treating spine disorders because he finds great reward in helping patients transition from pain or disability to enjoying their lives again. His work has led to numerous contributions to the medical community, including 26 peer reviewed publications, 16 book chapters and 12 international presentations.
